3. Lean 2 – Customer Validation

I think this is one of the most important topics for testing our ideas. I’ve gotten a lot out of it, and it also helped me prepare for my first two interviews!

The concept of customer validation is important to refine and if so pivot your product/service offering before any significant investment has been sunk into the business. In the long run this will lead to a better service offering and save much needed time / money of which both are finite.

This module helped me to reduce all of the detail into a succinct easily presentable form.

Game changer: I have self-discovered lots of little tweaks and (as yet only partly tested) ideas opportunities to pivot and keep my solution-focussed engineer's brain at bay for a little longer... I found this one required a LOT more prep. Very valuable once complete but I hadn't set aside enough time to make the most of it.

I don't have a product per se but recognise many of the processes I use in research co-design, I like the create, test, learn approach

Even though it is stated that the section will give examples for different types of businesses, the tools are applicable mainly to software development. Especially, the prototyping part. Not fully applicable to my ideas, which are based on service (education) and consulting.
